Instaupdate, because I'm sick and lazy.

I can tell I'm becoming a true blogger again when I start doing the "lazy girl post" of updating you via my Instagram. In my defense, Instagram is my best documentation of my life, since I'm a crappy blogger, Facebooker, Twitterer...you name it, I socially suck at it. Except Instagram. So here you go.

1 & 2. Kendall's candid reaction when he saw Biff for the first time after we came home from Washington. Swooooon sweetest thing ever.
3 & 4. Healthy food. I may do a whole post on my struggle with this. Stay tuned.
5 & 6. That time we found a bunny in our backyard and gave it to our brother and sister-in-law. And hair up. And I love dancing. And HP scarves I pretend are ASU scarves so I don't look like a nerd when I secretly am.
7 & 8. Sundays. We have church at 8:30 now, so the rest of our day is spent cuddling, taking walks, or going for long drives with our poopsies. It's the best kind of sabbath I could have asked for.

It's been too long...again.

Everyday, I get this overwhelming feeling that there is a part of my life that is missing, and everyday I know that the part of my life I'm missing is journaling and blogging, taking pictures, documenting my life. I tend to get overwhelmed with school, and life in general, and think of blogging as an added layer on my stresscake of a life. Like girls do, I make it out to be way more difficult than it has to be. In reality, blogging helps me to let out how I feel and express myself in a way that my stressful life doesn't allow for!

So, here's to trying, once again, to blog. Consistently. Forever.

And an update of what has been happening at the Lewis and Clark residence.

Basically these last few weeks have been filled to the brim with fall activities, hanging out with the Sirius monster, crafting and knitting, and food. I've been trying to juggle full time school with husband time and housework time, all while not chopping my own head off. I don't know how you girls do it, but I think I'm learning. Slowly.

Instabalance.

I don't know what it has been lately, but I have felt very 60s hippy-ish. Maybe it's the Olympics, rekindling my love for all things flower, peace, love, and Beatles. Maybe it's the fact that I'm starting school in a little over a week, Kendall's starting a new job, we're moving, and everything's changing, that makes me feel like I need a more chill, balanced life right now. Whatever it is, analyzing my Instagram tells the story.

1 & 2. Just spending time with my husband. Watching movies, hugging, cooking, going to Good Will and finding funny books or smelly curtains. I just have craved us time lately. Also, notice the hippy-natural-throwinabraid hair? Apparently I unknowingly boycotted products and heat in my hair for the last three weeks.
3 & 4. Homemade. I have always loved cooking, but I've been trying harder to think of interesting things to make using the food we have left at the end of the month. French bread grilled cheese and Oreo shakes.
5 & 6. Not-so-homemade. We've tried to balance homemade food out with actually going out to eat to treat ourselves. Red velvet pancakes (I DIE.) and the best pie ever (I guess you can call it Buttermilk pie, if you must).
7 & 8. Nature. What else does a hippy need besides fresh air, stars, and some tunes?

What's your instalife?

Instalovely.

I haven't really been taking many pictures lately. I went three whole days without taking one picture...and that's a lot for someone as addicted to Instagram as I am. I found this week that I wanted to take pictures of light, girly, lovely things as opposed to anything else. So that's what I looked for when taking pictures throughout my day. Girl power!

1. Ever since we got back from Legoland I've been looking for this...and no not the grapes, although they were a delicious nutritious snack. Maybe I'll do a series for little Lego Harry's adventures...who knows?
2. A bouquet that one of my kids made for me at work, they're so talented.
3. Kendall blowing me kisses across the table on our date night.
4. I'm currently in a love/hate relationship with my mousse. Does anyone have a kind that they like that leaves your curls luscious and delicious? I don't know about you, but that's what I want in a mousse..
5 & 6. Why did it take so long for us to get mason jars in our lives? I am appalled at myself.
7. Decorating with decorations from our wedding is such a good reminder of why we love each other.
8. Well played, fortune cookie, well played.

My friends planned a girl's night tonight, and I'm flippin excited to say the least! I'm definitely in need of girl time, even if it means husband is going to see The Dark Knight Rises tonight without me. Oh, the sacrifices we make...

Instalife lately.

Lazy post time!

So I haven't done one of these in, uh, forever; therefore, I have way too many Instagram pictures to post. Whatever shall I do?! Oh yeah, pick my favorites. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

OVERLOAD.

1. After getting back from California, we were tired and our poor little feetsies hurt. This is how we lay on the couch and give each other foot rubs. Also, I didn't even have to ask him for it. Win!
2. Bow in my hair, thanks to my good friend Kelly!
3. Kendall's family had a party and we crafted cute little scripture bookmarks. A couple people asked to copy my colors -- sage green and blush.
4. Our spontaneous date night to go see The Amazing Spiderman. UM. Please tell me you've seen it. And if you have not, don't come back until you have! (Ok, I'm being a little dramatic, but it's seriously one of the best superhero movies of all time. Ever. Ever ever ever.)
5. Monsoon season means dancing in the rain with my handsome husband.
6. ...and also not dancing in the rain because I did my hair that day.
7. My friend Kayla let me, Kendall, and the kiddos we work with into Sea Life Arizona for the day. I held a starfish. We found Nemo and Dory. It was righteous, dude.
8. Family Home Evening at Zoyo. Seriously, loving this place. If I didn't feel bad enough cheating on Yodipity as it was, I also gave Zoyo my old Yodipity punch card so I could get more punches at Zoyo.. yikes.
9. Have you been to Superstition Ranch Market in East Mesa? I don't know why anyone would shop anywhere else. We got three bunches of bananas for 15 cents. FIFTEEN.
10. Healthy happy dance! Me and Kendall have been motivating each other like no other, and that's one of the best parts of being married. He's my partner in everything and my biggest fan.

Insta-awesome Utah.

After a long weekend, we finally arrived home yesterday evening, just in time for Father's Day. I'm kinda sorta exhausted, and due to that exhaustion I just can't bring myself to edit any pictures from my trip (since that takes so much energy out of me). So, I'm opting out by using Instagram pictures of our trip!

1 & 2. Ten hour car rides are no bueno, but after a couple hours, Mr. Clark turns to me and says, "will you read Harry Potter to me?" "Umm, will you make out with me right now? Of course I will read Harry Potter to you!" You may commence with the barfing of how nerdy and cheesy we are.

3 & 4. I got to visit the beautiful Salt Lake City Temple! It was probably my favorite part of being in Utah. I wish I could have gone in for the ceremony, but just being there was amazing and so uplifting.

5 & 6. Selah made some best friends over the weekend, or as she liked to call them, her "sisters." She doesn't have sisters at home so we just let her have fun with them, and we were happy someone could keep her entertained while we were there. I don't know how mom's do it 24/7.. This weekend was one big birth control pill for me.

7 & 8. We went to this place in Utah called The Wood Connection that apparently is only in Utah and is amazazing. Michelle bought us a few things to do a craft so we can have a big "C" in our house, since I've been wanting one but haven't found one yet. I can't wait to get it done!

9. This picture was literally Kendall's cousin's backyard. Seriously, Utah?! Why you so gorgeous?!

10. And finally, the long drive home with my handsome husband. Ain't he cute?

Please excuse me while I try to find a house to buy in Utah so I never have to leave it again.
