Amaze on.

Sometimes you really want something, but it is 65 buckaroos plus shipping, and you're just not quite ready for that kind of commitment and you have to tell your something "let's take it slow."
Sometimes you cry yourself to sleep thinking about how badly you want it, when you realize that it is probably unhealthy to cry so much that you flood your bedroom.
Sometimes a lightbulb goes off in your head and you scream aloud "EUREKA!" for joy at your brilliance.
And sometimes, you order things on Amazon because they are 25 smackers cheaper, with free shipping.

Score!

I have a cushy spot in my heart for vintaged photography, and when I saw this beauty on the UO website I just about died. The pictures that this little lovely takes are breathtaking and inspiring.
I'm so glad that I finally can hold it in my hands and coo it to sleep.
My first project with it will be next week when me and my best friends take a road trip to Oceanside and Disneyland. I'm so excited to see what my new baby will show me about some of my favorite places!

Oh, and thank you Amazon, for rocking my little world.

awol.

I've been way too busy doing not too exciting things to blog lately.
I keep trying to think of creative things to talk about and cute pictures to take, but honestly, I don't have the energy! I'm seriously pooped from moving. And redoing my room. And working.
But at least working doesn't involve much heavy lifting.
Especially when I'm babysitting and adorable 20 pound girl who loves watching The Lion King and giving me sheepish smiles when she comes and sits next to me on the couch.
I really think I have the best job in the world, between her and her brothers.

I die from cuteness.

Crappy blogger.

I'm sorry if I'm a crappy blogger for the next week or so..
This weekend I'm moving out of my apartment.
Oh, I never mentioned that I lived in an apartment? Oops..
Guess there's a reason for everything!

Anyways, we're doing a serious room re-do.
Like I'm pretty much getting rid of all my childhood belongings before I move all my stuff back into my old bedroom at my dad's house.
It's pretty emotional, but it feels really good to be getting stuff done and starting on a clean slate.
I'll try to update on the room re-do whenever there is time!

Follow the spiders?!

I'm 157% with my good friend Ronald with "why couldn't it be follow the butterflies?!"
Spiders have been ruining my life for 2 whole decades.
First, they prance around with an abundance of legs. Nothing needs that many legs.
Next, they think it's fun to swing in front of your face on webs, interrupting tea parties and decent conversations. Rude.
And then, to put the icing on the cake, they bite. What is so fulfilling about taking a chomp out of my skin? I'll never know.

This week, spiders have declared war against us.
And by us I mean me and Jake.
And by war I mean, they laid quite the bomb sending Jake straight to the hospital.

In case you were fooled by the sheepish smile and tongue sticking out the wrong way, Jake did not die.
He's making a full recovery from that mean old black widow.
Apparently, widowing herself wasn't enough! She tried to widow me as well..

Spiders, you best be watching your backs.
We're gonna find you.

Sippin on sweet tea.

I've been home for a week now, and I'm back to working full time and going to sleep early every night so I can wake up early the next morning.
I definitely miss my cute little state where I got to lay around all day, or get up and do something fun.
And although I missed my friends, my car, and my own bed, what I really miss is the promise that tomorrow will be filled with a new adventure that summer brings.
I want to prolong summer as long as I can, because I feel like as soon as it starts, it's over.
And I'm missing my sweet tea right about now.

Last stop.

New Bern is definitely one of my favorite places in North Carolina. It is the cutest little town that the townspeople have tried so hard to keep authentic and historical.
It's like going back 300 years with my time-turner.
As soon as we got there, we went to see my priest-uncle and he took us around the little town and told us it's history and showed us the beautiful river that the town sits on.
The next morning, before our lingering flight, my dad and I took hike through Croatan National Forest.
Let's just say, I didn't like it as much as our last one.
Giant spiders attacked me in the dark forest per Aragog's request
Our hike was quickly ended.

I'm so sad that our trip had to come to a close.
But I know I'm blessed beyond measure to get to experience these wonderful things with my dad.

Back to real life!
